Atlantic Broadband is the 13th largest U.S. cable company with headquarters in Quincy, Massachusetts, USA. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Canadian media company, Cogeco. The company has over 600 employees and 230,000 customers as of January 2013. Atlantic Broadband has four primary operating regions in Florida, Maryland / Delaware, South Carolina and Central Pennsylvania. It was formed by acquiring nonstrategic regions from Charter Communications in 2004.

On July 18, 2012, it was announced that Cogeco would be purchasing Atlantic Broadband for US$1.36 billion.[1][2]

Ed Holleran, one of Atlantic Broadband’s founders, will continue to lead the US operations team as CEO.
