Association of Concerned Africa Scholars
The Association of Concerned Africa Scholars (ACAS) is a US-based group of left-liberal Africanist scholars and students, founded in 1977.
In the early 1980s ACAS opposed Ronald Reagan's policy towards Africa, in particular towards South Africa.[1] In the 1990s the Association led opposition to the Boren Bill.[2]
The Association's papers are held at the African Activist Archive at Michigan State University.[3]
