Assaf Ramon

Assaf Ramon (Hebrew: אסף רמון) was an Israeli pilot. The oldest son of astronaut, Ilan Ramon, he was 21 years old when he died after his F-16 fighter jet crashed during a training exercise. [1] Ramon was considered an excellent pilot. [2] He graduated from Hatzerim Airbase in June 2009. [3] A lieutenant of the Israeli Air Force, he was posthumously promoted to captain. [4]
