Ashwood, Tennessee

Ashwood is an unincorporated community in Maury County, Tennessee, in the United States.[1]

History

Ashwood Hall, the name of the plantation of Leonidas Polk, was later applied to the surrounding community.[2][3] A post office called Ashwood was established in 1841, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1956.[4]

St. John's Episcopal Church in Ashwood is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[5]
