Ashrita Shetty is an Indian film actress.[1]

Career

Ashrita participated in Times Fresh Face contest and won the Mumbai level competition, and went on to gain recognition at a national level. She made her debut in the 2012 Tulu film, Telikeda Bolli.[2][3] She became the face of the Clean & Clear brand, with directors Vetrimaaran and Manimaran being impressed enough to sign her on to play the lead role in their venture, Udhayam NH4.[4] The film saw the actress play a Bangalore-based Tamil college girl, who elopes with the character played by Siddharth. She gained mixed reviews for her portrayal in the film, with a reviewer noting she could be a promising actress in the making.[5] Sangeeta Devi from The Hindu said "Newcomer Ashrita Shetty shows promise and her capability of bringing to the screen the vulnerability and innocence of a 17/18-year-old makes her endearing.This girl has huge potential"[6] She then signed the lead in the action adventure film Indrajith opposite Gautham Karthik.[7]
