Dr. Ashok Panagariya is an Indian neurologist, Ex-Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur.[1]
Biography
Panagariya was born in Jaipur, India in a family of freedom fighter, his father B. L. Panagariya was a pre-independence journalist. He graduated (MBBS) in 1972,Post Graduate in Internal Medicine (1976) from SMS Medical college university, DM (Neurology) PGI Chandigarh and became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. who first headed the department of neurology at the SMS Medical College and then became the head (Principal) of the institution.He also served as vice Chancellor of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences and member state planning board on health. Dr. panagariya was president of Indian Academy of Neurology 2010-2011.He is a distinguished clinical neurologist in the country with a holistic view.

- Awarded Dr BC Roy medal by President of India. Dr. Ashok Panagariya also super specialized in Neurology.[3]
- UNESCO award for outstanding Medical/Social contributions (for what?? Political connections)
- Merit award from Government of Rajasthan on 26th Jan 1992.
- Times of India - Life time achievement award.
Publications'
Dr Panagariya has more than Ninety publications and chaired many national & International conferences. He has been in the editorial board of international year book of Neurology and neurosurgery and has contributed to many publications of Elsevier including text book of neurology by Bradley.His work on neuromyotonia , NMS and epilepsy is widely appreciated. Lately , writes on health policies and delivers lectures on science of spiritualism and happiness.
