Ashok Malik

Ashok Malik is a senior Indian journalist and columnist. He currently lives in New Delhi. He writes for a number of national and international publications. His areas of interest are politics, India’s political economy, and foreign policy.[1]

Career

Malik is a popular Indian columnist. His articles have appeared in the Times of India, Hindustan Times, Asian Age, The Pioneer, Deccan Chronicle and Tehelka. He studied at La Martiniere for Boys, Calcutta, and at Presidency College (now University) in the same city. He has also contributed to various international publications viz. Forbes and YaleGlobal Online.[2] He also appears frequently on news television debates for his pro BJP stand.[1]

Publications

In 2011, he co-authored a paper: India’s New World: Civil Society in the Making of Foreign Policy, published by the Lowy Institute for International Policy, Sydney. In 2012, his book "India: Spirit of Enterprise" was published. It encapsulates the story of the growth of India’s leading private sector industries since 1991, and their role in the Indian economy.[2]
