Ashley, Cheshire
Ashley is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 261. The village is at a crossroads close to the border of Cheshire with Greater Manchester, and is just to the south of the M56 motorway and close to the Manchester Airport runway. The village is the site of Ashley railway station. Neighbouring villages include Hale, Rostherne and Mobberley.
The village has a single public house - The Greyhound Inn. Ashley village post office has closed.
It is also home to Ashley Cricket Club which was founded in 1888.
