Asha Bhat (born 1992) is an Indian Model and beauty pageant winner who was crowned Miss Supranational 2014 at Krynica-Zdrój, Poland on December 5, 2014.[1] She is the first Asian to get crowned by another Asian winner in the history of the pageant. She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder Mutya Johanna Datul of Philippines. She is the first Indian to win the title.
Personal life
Asha was born in a small town Bhadravati, Karnataka to Subramanya and Shyamala Bhat. Her parents are doctors and have been serving the people of the town through their clinical laboratory. She has one elder sister Akshatha Bhat who is a neonatologist. Previously Asha was awarded as NCC-Cadet ambassador of India at SAARC in 2009.
Education and Career
Asha went to St Charles School, Bhadravathi and Prime Academy, an IIT JEE coaching institute in Pune. She claimed studying at the institute helped her win beauty contests. She also studied in Alvas pre-university college, Moodbidri, and is currently pursuing BE from RV College of Engineering, Bangalore.
At the age of 16, Asha volunteered at National Cadet Corps (India) (NCC) and gained the C certificate (certificate of highest value) in NCC. She competed at several inter group competitions and was selected for Republic Day Camp (RDC). She was selected as India's representative for International youth exchange program at SAARC held at Sri Lankan military academy. There she won the prestigious All Rounder Award. She received the award from the President of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Miss Diva 2014
Asha represented Karnataka at Miss Diva 2014 and was crowned Miss Diva Supranational at the pageant. She won three sub-awards at the pageant including Miss Congeniality, Miss Fascinating and Miss Beautiful Smile.[2]
Miss Supranational 2014
Asha was crowned as Miss Supranational 2014 at Hall of Sport, Krynica-Zdrój, Poland on December 5, 2014. 70 contestants from around the world competed at the pageant. She won Best Talent award at Miss Supranational. The former Miss Supranational 2013, Mutya Datul crowned Asha as the Miss Supranational 2014.[1][3]
After winning Miss Supranational 2014, Asha received a very lavish and warm welcome at her hometown Karnataka, India followed by her success party at Mumbai. She became a known face in Indian fashion industry and pageant world. She joined the league of notable Indian beauty queens who won an international pageant for the first time for India. She was a judge at the finale of Femina Miss India Delhi 2015 contest held in December 2014 and also attended the 60th Filmfare Awards nominations and pre-awards party held in Mumbai on 22 January 2015 followed by the grand finale night on 31 January 2015. At the finale night she presented the award for the Best Female Actress (Critics) to Alia Bhatt for the movie Highway. She inaugurated the famous fashion brand Mebaz at Hyderabad. Currently she is supporting the NGO Go Green Stay Clean, she has been working with this NGO since her Miss Diva days.
On 26 January 2014, she celebrated Republic Day in Bangalore starting with hoisting the tricolor, at Cubbon Park followed by Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (English: Clean India Mission).
She was honored by the BRAIN center as their official ambassador. BRAIN center offers help to the children with learning disabilities. She was also awarded with the title, "Akshaya Prathiba", meaning infinitely talented.
She also helped the Terry Fox Foundation to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
She is also conferred with the honorary title of "The Brand ambassador for the Platinum world group" .
She joined the "Smile torch " movement with Indian dental association in creating awareness regarding dental health.
She is also one of the top Top 5 finalists of Miss Grand slam pageant along with Miss Universe , Miss world , Miss world hungary and Miss universe spain . Later she won bronze for India in Miss Grand slam contest competing against over 400 beauty pageant winners across the grand slam pageants. She was also awarded Asian beauty of the year by the Great pageant community. Asha Bhat won the title of most desirable woman of Bengaluru by a poll conducted by times of India .
