Asan Institute for Policy Studies

Asan Institute for Policy Studies (아산정책연구원, 峨山政策研究院) is an independent, non-profit think tank based in Seoul, South Korea. The institute was founded by the honorary chairman Chung Mong-joon in 2008. Its purpose is to conduct policy-relevant research in national security and foreign policy and area studies focused on the Korean Peninsula. It has 17 full-time research fellows, 20 program officers and 32 regular staff members.[1]

Asan Academy

The Institute run Asan Academy (아산서원, 峨山書院) which offers a program for selected university students aiming to breed future leaders with an understanding of humanities, knowledge across various disciplines and the ability to think critically, independently and creatively. [2]
