Asako Kishi
Asako Kishi (岸 朝子 Kishi Asako, born November 22, 1923 in Tokyo) is a Japanese journalist who specializes in cooking.[1]
Career
Kishi joined the Shufunotomo company in 1955, and started her writing career while raising her four children. She later joined the publishing department of Kagawa Nutrition University and served 10 years as editor-in-chief of the magazine Eiyō to Ryori (栄養と料理, Nutrition and Cooking) from 1968 to 1978.
In 1979, she created a publishing company specializing in magazines and books on cooking and nutrition.
From 1993 to 1999, she appeared regularly as one of the judges on the original Iron Chef television program on Fuji Television.
