Asaka (朝霞市 Asaka-shi) is a city located in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. It was named (as Asaka Town) in 1932 after Prince Asaka who was an honorary chairman of the Tokyo Golf Club, which relocated to the area at that time. Asaka Town became a city on March 15, 1967.

As of April 1, 2011, the city has an estimated population of 130,764, with 59,144 households and a population density of 7,114.47 persons per km². The total area is 18.38 km².

At the 1964 Summer Olympics in neighboring Tokyo, the city hosted the riding part of the modern pentathlon event at Asaka Nezu Park.
