Arunasalam Thangathurai also spelt Arunachalam Thangathurai (Tamil: அருணாசலம் தங்கத்துரை, was a Sri Lankan Tamil politician. He was Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) Member of Parliament for Trincomalee District. He was assassinated by LTTE on July 5, 1997 in the presence of hundreds of school children. He was 61 years old.
