Arun Kumar Singh or commonly Arun Singh is an Indian diplomat and current Ambassador of India to France. On 08 MArch 2015, he was designated as the next Ambassador of India to the United States of America. He is a 1979 batch Indian Foreign Service officer. He had previously served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India at Washington D.C. (2008–13), Ambassador of India to Israel (2005-2008) and as a Joint Secretary to the Ministry of External Affairs Government of India at New Delhi (2000–2005).[1]
Early life and background
Singh joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1979, after completing his Master's degree in Economics from Delhi University, and teaching at the University for two years.[2]
Career
Arun Kumar Singh, (IFS: 1979), current Ambassador of India to France, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the United States of America.[3]
