Arthur James Dingle

Arthur James Dingle (16 October 1891 - 22 August 1915) was an English rugby player, killed in the First World War.[1] He played on the wing for 3 tests for England, against Ireland (away) on 8 February 1913, against Scotland (away) on 21 March 1914 and against France (away) at Colombes on 13 April 1914.[2] He was killed while serving with the 6th Bazillion of the East Yorkshire Regiment at Gallipoli.[3] His brother, Hugh John Dingle, was killed the following year at the Battle of Jutland.[4]
