Arnele Avenue is a San Diego Trolley station served by the Green Line. The next station north is Gillespie Field, and the next station south is El Cajon Transit Center. The stop serves as a minor park and ride for the surrounding residential community and also allows for access to a large commercial strip. Westfield Parkway, a major shopping mall, is within walking distance of the station.
The station was also served by Orange Line trolleys until a system redesign on September 2, 2012, pushed the line's terminus to El Cajon Transit Center.[1] However, if an Orange Line train is unable to successfully turn around at El Cajon Transit Center station, it will travel to this station and turn around for scheduling purposes and for the convenience of some riders.
