History

Formation (2009-2014)

Breach The Summit formed in 2009 in Irvine, California. The band consisting of Olen Kittelsen, Sam Beresford and Jacob Berger. During this time the band played a multitude of local California venues and developed their local following through an engaging live show and a series of infectious song releases."The band became more driven and focused and started rehearsing more frequently in Kittelsen’s garage, conjuring new songs and booking as many shows as they could squeeze in between school and bill-paying jobs."[1] The City EP released in November 2013 was a key point in garnering local attention."The City, is a collection of five feel-good indie pop tracks that show both range and a surprising level of maturity in terms of both lyrics and composition."[2] The band became a four piece with the addition of Kody Buxton on Bass in October 2013.[1]

In January 2014 the band debuted on KROQ Locals Only with their single "Step" and maintained a top five position for 13 weeks in a row."[3]

In May 2014 Breach The Summit was selected to perform at Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware.[4] In January 2015 the band announced they had officially changed their name to Armors.

Armors (2015-Present)

Armors has to date independently released two singles "Parasite" (January 2015) and "Old House"[5] (February 2015) both of which have gained national attention through synchronizations on NBC. "With just a couple shows and songs under their belt, Armors has already been making waves with their smooth, anthemic hooks."[6] Both tracks were produced by Adam Castilla (The Colourist) and mastered by Brian Lucey of Magic Garden Mastering (Black Keys/Arctic Monkeys). "While Castilla definitely left his touch on the track, he allowed Armors to build out their melodious indie rock sound."[7] Armors is set to release their debut EP in 2015.
