Arjun Jena is a cinematographer from Chennai. During 1990,[1] he joined Cinematographer P. C. Sreeram as assistant cameraman, working on such films as Thevar Magan (1992), Thiruda Thiruda (1993), May Madham (1994), and Padmashree Kamal Hassan's Thevar Magan, passvalai and kurudhipunnal. Later during 1996, he worked with cinematographer Jeeva as an operating cameraman on Tamil films like Indian, Vaali, Kushi, Ullasham and Run, and Hindi films Zor, Hera Pheri and Tera ghar mera ghar.
Arjun Jena started his independent career in cinematography with Director Kathir for his Tamil feature film Kadhal Virus in the year 2000 (released in 2002).
Arjun Jena's first film (Kadhal Virus) received a nomination at the National Award and won the Tamil Nadu state government award in 2002. Arjun Jena's very first experiment with the short film Silent Scream (directed by Vikram) in the year 1998 was awarded National Award for Best Short Film in Three categories for social awareness.

Arjun Jena is highly acclaimed in South India as Cinematographer for his special effects cinematography, lighting, DI/ tone grading and dynamic composition to create poetic visuals for story telling.

ALA MODALAINDI was released on 21st jan, 2011. It was a huge hit of the year and ran for over 100 days in Andhra Pradesh and outside India.
