Arie E. Kaufman

Dr. Arie E. Kaufman is Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer Science at Stony Brook University (SBU), where he also is Director of the Center for Visual Computing (CVC), and Chief Scientist of the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT).

Dr. Kaufman is known for his work in volume visualization, and for inventing a less-invasive colonoscopy method known as 3D virtual colonoscopy.[1][2]
