Ariamnes
For the spider genus, see Ariamnes (genus). For the ruler of Cappadocia from 280 BC, see Ariamnes of Cappadocia.
Ariamnes I (Ancient Greek: Ἀριάμνης Ariámnēs; fl. 4th century BC; ruled 362–330 BC) was satrap of Cappadocia under Persian suzerainty. Son of Datames and father of Ariarathes I and his brother Orophernes (Holophernes), Diodorus tells us that he governed fifty years.[1]
