Aqchiqucha (Quechua aqchi hawk or sparrowhawk,[1] qucha lake,[2]"hawk lake", hispanicized spellings Acchicocha, Achicocha) is a lake in Peru located in the Junín Region, Huancayo Province, Chongos Alto District.[3] It is situated at a height of about 4,591 metres (15,062 ft), about 5 km long and 1.10 km at its widest point. Aqchiqucha lies south of the lake Yuraqqucha, southeast of the lake Wich'iqucha, northeast of the lake Warmiqucha and north of the lake Kanllaqucha.
