Applied Measurement Professionals, Inc (AMP) (formerly NBRC Management Services, Inc.) is a for-profit private stock corporation located in Olathe, Kansas, which is in the Kansas City metropolitan area.[1] Incorporated in 1982 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the non-profit National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as NBRC Management Services, Inc. to manage testing services for healthcare credentialing agencies.[1][2] In July 1988 NBRC Management Services changed its name to Applied Measurement Professionals, Inc. AMP provides agencies, governments and associations with examinations and testing facilities.[1] In 1996, AMP purchased Logic eXtension Resources (LXR), which now serves as the company’s LXR Division.
