Apomyelois bistriatella is a species of snout moths in the genus Apomyelois. It was described by Hulst in 1887,[1] and is known from the eastern United States,[2] northern Europe and Russia.[3]
The wingspan is 15–25 mm.[4] Adults are on wing from June to July.
The larvae feed on Daldinia vernicosa which grows on burnt gorse and dead birch.[5] It has also been recorded feeding on Hypoxylon occidentale.
