The Antigua and Barbuda women's national football team is the national women's football team of Antigua and Barbuda and is overseen by the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association, a member of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football and the Caribbean Football Union. Their current FIFA ranking is 130.
History
On August 28, 2004, after 34 years the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association became affiliated with the FIFA, Antigua and Barbuda women's football team debuted with Anguilla in Saint John, winning by 1–0. The next day, on August 29, 2004, they played again against Anguilla, and the match ended in a 1–0 loss.
On March 12, 2006, Antigua and Barbuda disputed the First Round of the qualification for the 2006 CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup with Barbados, winning in the first leg by 1–0 and drawing the second by 0–0, thus advancing by an aggregate of 1–0.
In the second round, the team was paired in Group C along with Saint Kitts and Nevis, Jamaica and Saint Lucia, losing each match by 3–2, 10–0 and 2–1 respectively, thus leaving it out of the tournament.
On October 2007, they played the qualification for the 2008 Olympics, in where they win only one match against Dominica by 3–0 and lost both matches against Jamaica and Bermuda by 12–0 and 4–0 respectively, leaving them out of the Olympics.
On March 10, 2010, Antigua and Barbuda played against Saint Lucia for the 2010 CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup qualification, losing by 2–1. Four days later, they achieved a win over U.S. Virgin Islands by 3–1, making the team advance to the next round with 3 points.
On May 11, 2010; they played against Haiti, losing by 4–1. Two days later, they had another loss against Puerto Rico by a strong 8–0. Lastly, on May 15, they lost against Cuba by 6–1, thus ending with 0 points, 2 goals and 18 against them, causing the elimination from the Tournament.
In 2014, they played the 2014 Women's Caribbean Cup qualification in the Group 1, winning the three matches by 1–0 against U.S. Virgin Islands, Aruba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, thus qualifying to the tournament. The team was paired in Group B, along with Martinique, Trinidad and Tobago and Saint Kitts and Nevis, losing all the matches by 2–0, 3–0 and 2–1 respectively. Antigua and Barbuda were eliminated from both the 2014 CONCACAF Women's Championship and the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.
