Anthony Wayne Smith (born June 28, 1967) is a former American football defensive end in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Raiders 11th overall in the 1990 NFL Draft. He played college football at Arizona.
He was previously married to former pop star singer-actress Vanity. The former couple marriage lasted for a year from 1995 to 1996.[1]
He was charged in 2011 with committing the 2008 murder of Maurilio Ponce, which ended with a hung jury. On July 4, 2012, prosecutors refiled that charge and added three other counts of first degree murder.[2] On October 12, 2012, a Los Angeles County judge ordered Smith must stand trial for the four murders.[3]
