Antje Geertje (Ans) Markus (January 29, 1947) is a Dutch painter.

Antje Geertje Markus was born on 29 January 1947 in Halfweg in the Netherlands. She is known for her paintings of woman in drapings. Markus is an autodidact with a realistic style. Her first exposition was in 1981, her own atelier and exposition space was openened in 1995. In 2003 a book with a collection of her paintings was released because of her 25-year anniversary as a painter.

Markus has a distinctive clothing style.

On November 6, 2009 it was announced that Markus was selected as Dutch artist of the year.[1]
