Anolis smaragdinus, also known as the Bahamian green anole, is a species of polychrotid lizard in the genus Anolis. It is part of the A. carolinensis series of anoles. Two subspecies are recognized, Anolis smaragdinus smaragdinus and Anolis smaragdinus lerneri. They are endemic to the Bahamas.[1]
