Anne Sergeyevna Vyalitsyna (Russian: Анна Сергеевна Вьялицына; born 19 March 1986), also known as Anne V, is a Russian-American model and actress. She is perhaps best known for her ongoing ten-consecutive-year run of appearances (2005–14) in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Early life and discovery
Vyalitsyna was born in the Russian city of Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod). Both of her parents are physicians. Her father is a sports doctor for a football team and her mother is a pediatrician. Vyalitsyna started her professional modeling career at the age of 15 after IMG Models scouts saw her in Saint Petersburg while looking for new faces for MTV's Fashionably Loud Europe. She entered the contest and moved to New York after winning a contest sponsored by IMG and MTV.[1] She became an American citizen on 16 November 2013.[2]
Career
Within six months of her win, Vyalitsyna had worked for Anna Molinari, Chloé and Sportmax. She has appeared on the covers of Vogue, ELLE, and Glamour. She made her debut in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2005 and has appeared in it each year since. She was the object/subject of Joanne Gair body painting works in the 2005 edition.[3] Anne has walked for fashion houses such as Shiatzy Chen, Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Dolce and Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Miu Miu, Chloé, and Givenchy. She also walked in the 2008, 2010, and 2011 Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows. She was featured in the Dylan George & Co. and Abbot+Main clothing campaign with Kellan Lutz in 2011.
Vyalitsyna has appeared in the music videos for "Out Is Through" by Alanis Morissette and "Misery" and "Never Gonna Leave This Bed" by Maroon 5.
She had an uncredited cameo in the fifth installment of the Die Hard film franchise, A Good Day to Die Hard.[4]
She was signed with Women Model Management before moving to The Lions agency at the beginning of 2014.[5]
Personal life
In 2009, Vyalitsyna completed the ING New York City Marathon. She volunteered to guide a disabled athlete through the race for Achilles International and also Tweeted about the race in real-time.[6]
Vyalitsyna dated Adam Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5. The two broke up in March 2012, but apparently are still friends now.
Vyalitsyna dated New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey for about a year after the two met at a New York Rangers game. The two broke up in February 2014.[7]
On March 19, 2015, Vyalitsyna announced that she is pregnant with the child of her boyfriend Adam Cahan.[8]
