The Anne River is a steep continuous river, with an average gradient of 24m/km and a peak grade of 77m/km[1] that runs from Lake Judd in the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. Lake Judd is situated at the base of Mount Anne, the Anne River and runs from an elevation of 602m above sea level to 69m above sea level at the confluence with the Huon River.
The Anne river is a remote wilderness area, visited by avid bushwalkers. The river that has been only been navigated on a few occasions by kayakers.
