Anna Lao
Anna Lao is a retired female badminton player from Australia.
Career
Lao competed in badminton at the 1992 Summer Olympics in women's singles.[1] She lost in quarterfinals to Tang Jiuhong, of China, 11-1, 11-9. She also competed in women's doubles with Rhonda Cator, and they lost in quarterfinal to Lin Yan Fen and Yao Fen. The same year, they won the French Open.[2]
After Retirement
Since retiring Lao started and is currently head coach of the Australian Badminton Academy, established in 2002.From that, she has produced many champions. Many of her students have made the Australian badminton squad and her students are more and more aspired to become just like her as she continues to coach.[3]
