Anna-Liza Mopio-Jane (born December 3, 1986) is a Papua New Guinean swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events.[1] Mopio-Jane represented Papua New Guinea at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she swam in the women's 50 m freestyle event. She finished second in the sixth heat by twenty-eight hundredths of a second (0.28) behind Lithuania's Rugilė Mileišytė, with a time of 26.47 seconds. Mopio-Jane, however, failed to advance into the semi-finals, as she placed forty-second in the overall rankings.[2]
Mopio-Jane is a graduate of sports and leisure management at Griffith University in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She is also a former member of Chandler Swim Club, under head coach Andrew MacGregor, before she retired from competitive swimming in early 2012..[3]
