Anitta (album)
Anitta is the debut studio album by Brazilian recording artist Anitta, released on July 3, 2013 by Warner Music.[6] The album's lead single was "Meiga e Abusada" released in February, followed by "Show das Poderosas", released in April. The song reached number two on Billboard Hot 100 Airplay in Brazil and has sold more than 24,633 copies on Brazilian iTunes Store. The album sold more than 40,000 copies in just 10 days in Brazil, being certified as Gold by Associação Brasileira dos Produtores de Discos (ABPD). The album was preceded by four singles, "Meiga e Abusada", "Show das Poderosas", "Tá na Mira" and "Não Para" and when released in presale on iTunes reached in less than twenty-four hours of the most downloaded first position of the virtual store, reaching first place in Brazil. The album sold over 40,000 copies ten days after its official release, later being certified Gold. The album had a notable performance in digital terms also, selling 24,633 copies in the Brazilian iTunes. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Brazil.
Promotion
In television network Globo she participated in programs Esquenta!, Caldeirão do Huck, Encontro com Fátima Bernardes, Altas Horas and Mais Você, and was attended by more than an hour with the music of the album including the track deluxe edition.
On 6 April 2013, the stage was Anitta TV show Legendários on Brazilian television network Rede Record In May 2013, she participated in other programs with anticipated release of the album's songs among the programs, Domingão do Faustão, Programa do Ratinho, De frente com Gabi, Eliana, and the sitcom Pânico na Band, Tá na Mira the third single from the singer Anitta, released in April 23, 2013 for digital download. The previous single from the singer, "Show das Poderosas" was released shortly before "Tá na Mira" in the same format as the same. In the same month, the clip that was in just one week reached 1 million views on YouTube. On June 21, 2013, Anitta reported on its Facebook pre-sale of the album Anitta in your virtual store. The official album cover was released on July 2, 2013.
Singles
- "Meiga e Abusada": was first released in February 6, 2013 for digital download. The clip of the song, which includes the participation of Mayra Cardi (a former participant of Big Brother Brasil), was released on YouTube on December 18, 2012, but the song was only released almost two months later. Mayra appears dressed as a sexy maid, serving dinner to the "boss" and his family. The scenes show Anitta embodying one Katy Perry style, and were recorded in a studio in Botafogo, South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, and directed by Blake Farber, who also directed Beyoncé videos. The first part of the video was taken in Las Vegas and New York. In the video clip Anitta is seen in a Casino in Las Vegas, but at the time she was only 19 years and the minimum age to enter a casino is 21.
- "Show das Poderosas": Released on 16 April 2013 is, so far, her biggest hit. The songs has reached over 59 million views and has sold over 32,000 digital copies only in Brazilian iTunes. The lyric video was released on July 5, 2013. The music video had already been recorded months before its official release as a single and finished in the same week of release. Anitta had overall responsibility for the lyrics.
- "Tá na Mira": the third single, was released on April 23, 2013. An EP with the same title, containing songs like "Meiga e Abusada" plus exclusive songs, was released seven days later.
- "Não Para": Released on July 2, 2013, it knocked "Show das Poderosas" from the iTunes top. It debuted at #6 on the Brazilian Digital Songs chart with 690 paid downloads. The official video for the song was released on the TV program Fantástico On July 7, 2013. On July 5, 2013 a lyric video was released.
- "Zen": Released on November 4, 2013, it was written by Anitta and Umberto Tavares Junior and other composers. Its recording took place in July 2013 in Brazil, at the Biscoito Fino studios. It was released as a single and promoted on Brazilian radios. In 2014, it was nominated for the Latin Grammy Award for Best Brazilian Song.[7]
