Anitha Shaiq, often credited as Anitha.S or simply Anitha is a South Indian play back singer and a music composer from Kerala. She performs Indian classical, Gazal, folk and pop numbers. She performed in Malayalam, Kannada,and Tamil so far. In her 6 years in the Malayalam film industry, she has recorded more than 40 songs for films. She has also performed in several stage shows and live Gazal concerts.
Early life
Shaiq was born to Sirajuniza Begum, a secondary school music teacher, and Sheikh Ebrahim. While in secondary school, she won a number of awards for various types of performance including dance, theatre, and singing. She graduated from the Government College for Women, majoring in music. She has studied Hindustani, Carnatic, and Western music.[1]
Personal life
Shaiq is married to Ashish, and lives in Kamaleswaram.[1]
Film career
Anitha started her play back singing in 2007 with the hit song of that year composed by Sree. Vidyasagar.[1] She has sung for many Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada movies.[1]

"Satrangee" is composed and sung by Anitha Shaiq, while it was produced by East Coast.The album consists of seven tracks written by legends like,Meera, Mirza Ghalib, Bulleh Shah, Amir Khusrow etc..The album was launched by the famous Indian Sufi singer Kailash Kher on January 20, 2015
