Anisophyllea cinnamomoides is a species of plant in the Anisophylleaceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.
Leaves
dimorphic ordinary leaves 2-ranked, oblong to ovate, tapering to unequal base; other leaves small, deciduous, between the ordinary, persistent larger leaves.
Trunk
Bark - pale gray-brown; horizontal or drooping branches.
Flowers
Inflorescence - greenish white, 2-3 short supra-axillary racemes.
Fruits
greenish white, ellipsoid, one seeded berry.
Ecology
rain forest canopy of wet zone.
Uses
Wood - light construction.
Culture
Known as "වැලි පියන්න - weli piyanna" in Sinhala.
