Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (Dōbutsu no Mori: Happī Hōmu Dezainā どうぶつの森:ハッピーホームデザイナー lit. "Animal Forest: Happy Home Designer") is an upcoming community simulation video game developed and published by Nintendo, due for a Q3 2015 release for Nintendo 3DS.[1] The game is a spin-off of the Animal Crossing series where the player has to design homes for various anthropomorphic animal characters.
Development
A new Animal Crossing game was hinted at on October 29, 2013, as producer Katsuya Eguchi said that they were still deciding on what to do next for the series.[2] On April 1, 2015, Nintendo announced at their Nintendo Direct that the next Animal Crossing game, called Happy Home Designer, would be released exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS in 2015.[3]
Gameplay
A new feature announced for Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is the ability to design the Villager's home. The game was also confirmed to be the first to support amiibo in card format, to be released along the game.[3]
