There is a small but recognizable community of Angolans in Brazil consisting mainly of immigrants and expatriates from Angola. There are an estimated 1,125 Angolans registered in Brazil, most Angolan citizens in the country are on student or work visas.[1] [2] From Angola many slaves were sent to Brazil to work in the cane sugars. [3][4]
