Angika region in Northeast Inda
Angika region is a part of Mithila. It comprises the following districts in the eastern part of India.
- Eastern Bihar
- Bhagalpur District, , Banka District, Jamui District, and Munger District.[1]
- North-Eastern Jharkhand
- Sahebganj District, Godda District, Deoghar District, Pakur District, Dumka District and Jamtara District.[2]
- Mithila (India)
- Tirhut
Angika, a dialect of Maithili language is the mother-tongue of people of this area.[3]
