Angels Sing: Christmas in Ireland is a live album by London-based boy choir Libera, and was released in November 2013 by record label Warner Classics. Libera recorded the album on August 8 and 9, 2013, at Armagh Cathedral. The live recording was concurrently released on DVD.
Promotions
Libera released a promotional video on its YouTube channel in October 2013.[1] Eight video clips from the concert appeared in December 2013. Libera further released a "Danny Boy" clip on YouTube in March 2014. As of February 2015, these videos have gathered over one million views. [2]
Libera appeared on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Today in December 2013, performing "Carol of the Bells" and "Joy to the World," respectively. [3][4]
Three members of the choir were interviewed on various BBC Local Radio stations in December 2013.[5]
Reception
Angels Sing: Christmas in Ireland topped the Billboard charts for traditional classical albums in December 2013.[6]
