Angelo Tsarouchas (born June 22, 1964 in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian comedian/actor whose parents are originally from Greece (Dafni,Laconia). A large element of his stand-up comedy revolves around the parody of his Greek origins.

Early Life and Career

Born Evangelos Petros Tsarouchas, Angelo was raised by a Greek mother and father and is an international stand-up comic with television specials in Canada, USA, and The UK. He has toured throughout the world.

He was showcased at the UK Paramount Comedy Festival, South African Comedy Festival and Montreal's Just for Laughs. Angelos has appeared in The Score, John Q, The Recruit, The Prince and Me, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle and Cinderella Man, and most recently in the award winning film Fred and Vinnie, where he plays the world's fattest vegetarian and agoraphobe. Among the awards that "Fred and Vinnie" has received, Angelo received the "Best Actor" award at the London Greek Film Festival 2012 and was awarded at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation in Athens, Greece for his role as Vinnie D'Angelo.

Angelo has also been a special guest on the Russell Peters World Tour, as well as the Just For Laugh's Ethnic Heroes of Comedy Tour and Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show. When not on tour, Angelo is a regular at the Laugh Factory Los Angeles/Long Beach and at The Comedy and Magic Club Hermosa Beach.

Personal life

Angelo married his Armenian American girlfriend, Alina Basil, on October 10, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. The couple had a child in August 2012.
