Andy Meyrick (born 4 September 1985) is a British racing driver currently competing in the United SportsCar Championship and the Blancpain Endurance Series.

Racing career

Single seaters

Meyrick made his racing debut in the BRSCC Formula Ford 1600 North West championship at Oulton Park. He won his fifth race of his career and went on to win a total of ten races during the season. The Britt won the championship in the Pre 90 class in a vintage Reynard 84FF. The following season he wanted to step up to the British Formula Ford Championship. Meyrick was signed by Cliff Dempsey Racing to drive the Ray GR06 alongside Peter Dempsey.[1] After four DNF's he did not return to the series.[2] Later in 2006 Meyrick joined Falcon Motorsport to drive in the Formula Renault BARC Championship. On his third outing, at Thruxton Circuit, he achieved a pole position. The young driver achieved a second place finish.[3] After the 2007 Formula Renault UK Wintercup Andy Meyrick would join Team West-Tec. It was planned he would race in the Spanish Formula Three at Circuito de Albacete however he would never start a race. He eventual raced two races in the British Formula Renault in 2007. The following season the British driver stepped up to the British Formula Three Championship with Carlin Motorsport in the National class. Meyrick raced twelve races in the championship. He achieved seven class victories and a fifth place in the championship.

Endurance racing

After he could not secure a single seater racing seat he focussed on endurance racing. Meyrick entered the 2009 Le Mans Series season with Kolles driving an Audi R10 TDI. The teams best finish came at the 2009 1000 km of Nürburgring. Together with Narain Karthikeyan and Charles Zwolsman, Jr. Meyrick finished fourth. For 2010 Meyrick joined Dyson Racing in the American Le Mans Series. The British driver made two outings for the team at the 2010 12 Hours of Sebring and the 2010 Monterey Sports Car Championships. Furthermore he entered his first 24 Hours of Le Mans. Together with Soheil Ayari and Didier André Meyrick was entered by AIM Team Oreca Matmut in a Oreca 01. The Oreca was the first non-Audi finishing fourth overall. Following this success he was signed by Aston Martin Racing to join their LMP1 program. The teams first outing was at the 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car did not finish after the Aston Martin L6 4v DOHC 2000cc Turbo engine failed. The teams best result came at the 2011 6 Hours of Zhuhai. At the Chinese track the No. 007 car finished sixth. During the season Meyrick also raced in the vintage Group C Racing championship. Meyrick won two out of four races with four podium finishes. He secured the championship in the C2 class in his Spice SE89C. He also raced in the Group C Racing championship in 2012. He entered a race in the C1 class driving an Aston Martin AMR1. Andy Meyrick won the race from pole.

In 2012 Andy Meyrick entered the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain for five events. At his debut at the Knockhill Racing Circuit he finished third behind Michael Meadows and Sam Tordoff. He eventually finished thirteenth in the championship. Meyrick joined the DeltaWing program at the 2013 12 Hours of Sebring. Together with teammate Katherine Legge the team ended up seventh in the P1 standings. The following year Meyrick continued his partnership with DeltaWing. He will also race in the Blancpain Endurance Series for M-Sport in a Bentley Continental GT.
