"Are You Trying to Be Lonely?", a collaboration single with Paul Weller in 2007 reached #31 in the UK Singles Chart and #2 in the UK Indie Chart. The song featured Ocean Colour Scene guitarist Steve Cradock on drums. Lewis is in the group Spearmint.

Lewis is a member of the bands Pimlico and The Red Inspectors, alongside long-time friend and collaborator Pete Twyman. The pair also joined forces with Wesley Doyle to release 2014's Get Ready! as a trio, a mini-LP on internet music site Bandcamp, the latest in a run of solo work uploaded by Lewis.[1] Twyman has also recently uploaded many demos and unreleased recordings to Bandcamp, including the superlative You Do Me and I Belong to Everything.[2]

In recent years, Lewis has been an integral part of Weller's live band, playing bass guitar for the Modfather on stage and also contributing backing vocals to some tracks like Fast Car/Slow Traffic. He has also appeared on Weller's three most recent solo albums, contributing bass, and also cello to a track on '22 Dreams'. He was also briefly intervierwed on the 'Just a Dream' live DVD, appearing in the rehearsal session and live BBC footage too.[3]

Lewis is active on Twitter, with nearly 5,000 followers.[4] His official website has not been updated for years.

Lewis will feature on Paul Weller's forthcoming album Saturns (Saturn's?) Pattern, alongside Cradock.[5] This will be the fourth Weller studio record Lewis has worked on.

Lewis went to St David's University College, Lampeter, which was part of the University of Wales.
