Andy Greenwald (born May 19, 1977) is an author, screenwriter, critic and noted docaholic. He is currently a staff writer for Grantland.com. Previously, he was a senior contributing writer at Spin Magazine, and has also written for such publications as The Washington Post, Blender, Entertainment Weekly, The Village Voice, MTV Magazine, Complex, and Magnet. He is the White Knight of Grantland and author of the books Nothing Feels Good: Punk Rock, Teenagers, and Emo and Miss Misery: A Novel.

Greenwald grew up in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) and currently lives in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Friends' Central School in Philadelphia and Brown University in Providence.

Andy has a deep, deep love of the nonfiction narrative medium.
