Andrew Jon Barkett (born September 5, 1974 in Miami, Florida) is the manager for the Class AA Jacksonville Suns.
Barkett played college baseball for the NC State Wolfpack from 1992–1995.[1]
Barkett is a retired Major League Baseball first baseman and outfielder. He played one season at the major league level for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2001. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Texas Rangers in 1995. Barkett played his first professional season with the Rookie league Butte Copper Kings and their Class A Charleston RiverDogs in 1995, and his last with the Atlanta Braves' Triple-A Richmond Braves in 2005.
On December 14, 2010, it was announced that Barkett would manage the AA Jacksonville Suns in the Florida Marlins organization.[2]
