Andrzej Zaucha (singer)
Andrzej Zaucha (Polish pronunciation: [andʐɛj zauxa]) (12 January 1949 – 10 October 1991) was a Polish singer (jazz, rock, jazz-rock, pop), actor.
Zaucha was born in Kraków. He was shot and killed there at the age of 42, by French film director, Yves Goulais, along with Goulais's ex-wife Zuzanna Lesniak-Goulais, whom he suspected of having an affair with Zaucha.
In his youth he trained canoeing. Polish championship in 1963, led by the foursome won a bronze medal in the junior category. In 1964, he won gold medals in the Polish Junior Championships in a single room and four.
Musically, he made his debut as a drummer in an amateur band fiends . Later, he became a soloist of the group Telstar . In the years 1968-1971 he was the lead singer jazzrock Dżamble groups (including the song " I figured you ", the album Cry of the sun over the world ) . Occurred to her, among others, SFJ Jazz on the Odra River in Wroclaw 69 .
In 1971 he became involved with the team Anawa, with whom he recorded the LP Anawa .
In the years 1973-1979 he sang and played in bands entertainment abroad. Since 1980, he performed solo in music. He collaborated with jazz musicians, including Jaroslaw Cream, Michał Urbaniak and John Ptaszyn Wroblewski, and traditional jazz bands Old Metropolitan Band as a drummer, Beale Street Band and Playing Family as a singer .
With Big Band Wieslaw Pieregorólki Andrzej Zaucha recorded the album, released by Muse . Was also associated with rock bands - Doctor Q Group ( CD All creatures big and small) and a square. He has made numerous recordings for Polish Radio archives, recordings and for the film . He appeared in cameo roles in the films Love of the charts (dir. Zaucha wife Elizabeth died August 31, 1989 as a result of stroke.
Zaucha died a tragic death . October 10, 1991 after a performance in Kraków STU Theatre scene, the artist was fatally shot along with actress Zuzanna Lesniak on street parking Włóczków in Cracow, by her husband - French director Yves Goulais . Motive for the murder was jealousy of his wife. Killer gave nine shots from a gun . Zaucha died on the spot, Susanna died in an ambulance .
