Andronikos Palaiologos Angelos

Andronikos Palaiologos (fl. 1326/8), was a Byzantine lord and military governor of Velegrada (modern Berat) for the Byzantine emperor Andronikos II Palaiologos (r. 1282–1328), who defected to Serbia. He was the son of Demetrios Doukas Komnenos Koutroules, a younger son of Michael II Komnenos Doukas, despot of Epirus, and his mother was Anna Terter of Bulgaria. His daughter Anna Palaiologina Angelina married firstly John II Orsini, despot in Epirus, and later John Komnenos Asen, despot in Valona.[1]
