Andrew John Broad (born 2 July 1975) is an Australian politician who was elected as the federal member for Mallee in 2013 for the National party.[1] Broad is a former President of the Victorian Farmers' Federation.[2]
In an interview on Fairfax's Breaking Politics on the 24th July 2014, Broad responded to a survey conducted by Ipsos which indicated Australians were worried about the recent budget leading to a "less equal and less caring society". He stated that people who want the government to promote a more equitable and caring society are at risk of promoting communist ideology.[3]
