Andrew Alexander (journalist)

Andrew Alexander (born May 1935) is an English journalist and columnist for The Daily Mail.[1]

He is the son of S. W. Alexander.[2] He was the unsuccessful Conservative candidate at the Colne Valley by-election, 1963.[3] He won Specialist Writer of the Year in the British Press Awards for 1976.[4] He was denounced in the House of Commons by the Labour MP Dennis Canavan as "that prizewinning cynical jackass".[5]
