Andreas Cristian Calcan (born 9 April 1994 in Slatina) is a Romanian professional football player who plays as a midfielder for CSM Râmnicu Vâlcea on loan from Universitatea Cluj.

Career

Born in Slatina, Romania, Calcan started playing football in his hometown as a youngster for CSŞ Slatina under the command of Ion Pârvulescu, the trainer who discovered two important Romanian football players: Ionel Dănciulescu and Claudiu Niculescu.[1] When he was fourteen he moved to Cluj-Napoca at Ardealul Cluj and in 2010 he joined Universitatea Cluj together with other 12 teammates.[2]

Calcan made his debut in Liga I in August 2013, in a match that was lost by Universitatea Cluj in front of Dinamo București.
