Andrea Ruth Mitchell (born 27 February 1956) is an Australian politician. She has been a Liberal member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly since 2008, representing the district of Kingsley.

Mitchell was born in Brisbane, Queensland in 1956 and arrived in Western Australia in 1970 as a teenager. She attended the University of Western Australia (UWA) where she graduated with a Bachelor of Physical Education degree. After completing a Diploma of Education, Mitchell spent 15 years as a high school teacher. Prior to entering politics she worked for the Western Australian Government in the Department of Sport and Recreation. She is a former president of Tennis West and has been a director of Tennis Australia.[1][2]

Mitchell was first elected to parliament at the 2008 state election. She defeated incumbent Labor MP Judy Hughes.[1]
