André Gayot
André Gayot (3 October 1929) is a restaurant critic from France. With his friends Henri Gault and Christian Millau, he coined and promoted the term "Nouvelle Cuisine" in the 1960s.[1]
In 1981 he began publishing a series of restaurant guidebooks known as Gayot Guides.
In 2005 Gayot was named an Officer of the Legion of Honor,[2] France's highest civilian honor.
